This is the peak of the grad party season. Question is: are we loving it? I love seeing the grads so happy. I also love hearing their thoughts about the future. They are not worried about the economy or whether they will find a career. They are happy to enter the world of change.
How I miss that innocence. Just this morning I was struggling with the idea of making life changes. Not that any are forced on me. But the day will come. I will have to transition from what's true today to something else -- something potentially scary if I allow it to be.
But the grads are reminding me to smile at the future. Yes, life will change whether it be new livelihood, home, marital status (not an aspiration), perhaps even health. But it will be okay. The Proverbs 31 woman smiled at the future. I will choose the same. How about you?
